Work has started on site for the development of 71 family homes in Galgate, Lancaster, delivering a mix of two, three and four bedroom properties, ranging from apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses. The site will also include public open space and a play area for community use. Planning consent was approved by Lancaster City Council in June 2015 subject to completion of the legal agreement.

On behalf of Story Homes, i-Transport LLP prepared the Transport Assessment for the planning submission and provided technical assistance to the design team in relation to the design of the internal road network and service vehicle arrangements. The planning submission included works to the adopted highway including a new parking lay-by on Stoney Lane and traffic calming measures on Stoney Lane on the approach to Galgate.

Additional information of the development can be found on the Story Homes website.
