The Secretary of State for Transport yesterday made an Order granting development consent for the Tilbury2 port expansion. The Order enables the construction, operation and maintenance of a new port terminal and associated facilities in Tilbury on the site of the former Tilbury Power Station. The Development includes a Roll-on/Roll-off terminal, a Construction Materials and Aggregates Terminal (“CMAT”) and associated rail and road infrastructure. i-Transport provided transport advice throughout the application and examination period and successfully negotiated an agreed position with three highway authorities. Congratulations to all involved and especially to the Port of Tilbury.
