Key Inputs:
- i-Transport LLP has supported Cognita School’s network of premises across England, including new developments, school expansions, and ongoing transport support to numerous premises. Notable projects include:
- Production of a detailed Transport Assessment to consider the highways impact of the proposed development, as well as adjacent Local Plan development of 1,000 dwellings which drove the need for a new Primary School
- Transport Assessment and ongoing Travel Plan monitoring of Northbridge House School, Hampstead, London
- Submission documents to support expansion of Braeside Preparatory School in Bromley
- Supporting documents for the expansion of Huddersfield Grammar School including on-street drop-off surveys
- Production of Transport Assessment and Travel Plan for new Sixth Form building for Southbank International School, Westminster

Site: North and West Horton Heath
Client: Drew Smith Homes Ltd / Horton Heath Ltd
Project: Development of eight form secondary school, three form primary school, local centre and 1,400 dwellings
Key Inputs:
- Liaison with Hampshire County Council and Eastleigh Borough Council to deliver a new link road between Allington Lane and Bubb Lane to deliver 1,400 dwellings and new primary and secondary schools
- Detailed assessment of trip generation and assignment for the primary and secondary schools, including internalisation of residential trips associated with development of schools
- Assessment of school access and opportunities for drop off and pick up areas along with walking and cycling across the site and to local communities
- Development of a pubic transport strategy to deliver a sustainable public transport network to service the residential development and schools
- Production of Framework Travel Plan

Client: Mr and Mrs Jowett
Project: Change of use from A3 restaurant to D1 children’s day nursery
Key Inputs:
- i-Transport advised on the transport planning and highways implications of the proposed change of use from A3 restaurant to D1 children’s nursery
- We prepared a Transport Statement to satisfy the key tests of the National Planning Policy Framework and relevant locally adopted policies
- Our work identified the anticipated net impacts of the development proposals and a detailed assessment of parking and drop-off / pick-up demands informed by empirical surveys and TRICS data
- We worked closely with the client’s architects to develop a coherent on-site drop-off and parking arrangement capable of also accommodating servicing movements associated with adjacent retail premises
- Full planning consent was granted by Leeds City Council in February 2018
