i-Transport have worked alongside Spawforths on an outline application for a new 50,000sqft higher education building on a site off Whowell Street at The University of Bolton Deane Road Campus. The scheme aims to increase education provision so that the university can enhance its current science, technical, engineering and maths courses (STEM) across the campus.
The Transport Assessment produced by i-Transport assessed the impacts of the new building alongside separate proposals for the expansion of the University College School (UCS) on Deane Road. The University also has plans to re-purpose its former sports hall to provide a state-of-the-art on-line learning resource centre to enable university students and utilise other digital resources.
