A great end to 2020 for i-Transport following confirmation that outline planning consent has been granted for our client Bloor Homes’ proposals for a sustainable urban extension of 1,750 new homes, a primary school and a mixed-use local centre to the west of Northampton following a resolution to grant last year.
Our role included: assessing the traffic implications of the development using outputs from Northampton’s Strategic Traffic Model; developing a sustainable transport strategy for the site; negotiating a package of off-site highways mitigation measures and public transport subsidy; conducting feasibility designs of the site’s access points and spine road; advising on street typologies and inputting to the evolution of the Masterplan; preparation of an Environmental Statement technical paper; and input to the S106 Agreement.
Congratulations to all involved. We’re really looking forward to seeing the development come forward.
